I recently spent a week and a half in Greece, photographing the picturesque cities of Santorini, Mykonos, and Athens. Athens’ ancient ruins and rich history; Mykonos’ beaches, waterfront markets, windmills, and nightlife – these were among the highlights of the trip. The showstopper, though, was Santorini. The sea of white buildings and blue domed churches built atop dramatic, steep cliffs is a sight unlike any other. Santorini is without a doubt one of the most picturesque places I have visited. When you combine this with top-notch hospitality, stunning sunsets, and scores of excellent cafes and restaurants, you have all the ingredients for a fantastic vacation.
